“When I came to Molalla I was shy and didn't have any friends. When my grandma
enrolled me in the PAL "Art in the Park" program I was scared at first but soon
made new friends. 7 years later, I am volunteering at PAL and have plans to work
with kids and teens for the rest of my life. Molalla PAL made a big impact in my
life...I learned people skills, leadership skills, and most of all I now realize
the impact one person can make on another person's life. If I never went to PAL,
I most likely would have missed out on meeting amazing people…and life skills I
will use for school, work, and hopefully someday with my own kids. I am very

For seven years, the Molalla Police Activities League (MPAL) has created a caring, positive and nurturing environment for hundreds of youth, just like Idalis, who have been served through our out-of-school time programs at the Youth Center, and with the Molalla Ju Ju Warriors Mat Club. Through Molalla PAL programs youth receive homework help, can participate in a variety of classes, get physical with outdoor intramurals, participate on field trips, and learn about sportsmanship on the wrestling mat…all from staff, volunteers, and local law enforcement who serve as positive role models.
We are asking you to join us in these efforts with a donation to our annual appeal for 2011. If you become a Friend of Molalla PAL you will receive a “friend” decal, recognition on the Molalla PAL website and Facebook page, an annual subscription to the Molalla PAL
e-newsletter, early notice for Molalla PAL events, and the satisfaction of knowing you are helping Molalla PAL provide daily, quality programs for youth.
Our goal for 2011 is to raise a minimum of $10,000 through individual and small business donations. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are dependent upon the generosity of the public to raise the majority of our annual budget. We hope the value of our programs for Molalla area youth will inspire you to help us raise our goal---or exceed it!
Your gift will make a significant difference in the lives of youth and allow us to:
- Providing high-quality afterschool programming year-round for 50+ youth ages 8-14 at our center daily, and fill the gap with the loss of middle school athletics.
- Allow us to offer enrichment classes such as healthy cooking, 4-H curriculums, aka Science, and leadership clubs to our center youth members.
- Provide 50+ youth ages 5-16 with wrestling skill development, emphasis on good sportsmanship, and high-quality level of competition through the mat club program.
